Meet Our Trinity Spine and Orthopedics Doctors & Staff
Dr. Larry M. Kjeldgaard, often referred to as “The Bone Doctor”, is the founder and owner of Trinity Spine and Orthopedics. Proficient in both simple and complex spinal surgeries, he utilizes minimally invasive techniques in his treatment of the spine and back.
We don’t want to tell you what to do. Our orthopedic doctors treat you as a partner and want you to play an active role in your treatment regardless of whether it’s therapy, pain management, or surgery. For optimal results, you’ll have to take certain measures, such as strengthening your body before or after a surgery and going through the appropriate care. It’s more than just surgery with passive input from you. We work with you to lay out a plan for your treatment so that you are fully aware and prepared before we get started.
When you meet with some surgeons, they immediately start looking for a procedure that will provide a quick fix for the patient’s condition, asking themselves which fancy procedure they can do that will have a big impact. This is necessary in certain cases, but there are also times when a more conservative approach makes for a better treatment. Our orthopedic doctors understand that sometimes the best treatment is the most basic one. It might involve medicine, therapy, and time. We’re in touch with that.
At Trinity Spine and Orthopedics, we work with the mindset that surgery should be more of a last resort. We are all more than just surgeons. We offer pain management and physical therapy so that our patients have a number of different options aside from surgery. It’s easy to cut people, but it’s not easy to get perfect results every time. That is why we are selective and careful with surgery. Many problems can be addressed and corrected with less risky methods. It’s a team effort, and you’re part of the team.
